The employee will perform a variety of cleaning tasks under general direction by maintaining the hospital facilities in a clean, sanitary, orderly and attractive condition. Requirements

Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing (required).
Must be able to demonstrate special training, knowledge and skills specific to job and/or program specific competency within the first three (3) months of training, and annually thereafter.
Must be able to pass a background, physical, Tuberculosis with a PPD skin test or chest x-ray upon hire; PPD skin test required annually or chest x-ray tri-annually thereafter and drug screen
Must be certified in Advanced Placement Crisis Prevention Intervention Training (AP CPI)

Nice To Haves

Prior EVS experience in healthcare hospital (preferred).
Experience working in behavioral health preferred.
Two (2) years in a hospital environment preferred.

Responsibilities

Maintains premises in a clean and orderly manner in compliance with Infection Control practices.
Cleans offices, patients’ rooms, common areas, lavatories, halls food services areas and any other areas that may require attention.
Cleans light fixtures, ceilings, and vents, walls, mattresses, furniture, windows and window coverings, floors and carpets.
Cleans by dusting, mopping, vacuuming and sweeping.
Replenishes supplies.
Moves furniture, hang draperies and sets-up tables and chairs.
May change sheets and replenish linens.
Follows waste disposal policies
Work rotating schedule through weekends
