Aspirus Wausau Hospital in Wausau, WI is seeking a FLOOR CARE SPECIALIST to join our ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES team! The Floor Care Specialist provides a clean and bacteriologically safe environment for patients, staff and visitors at Wausau Hospital. Must be able to follow all applicable policies, procedures, schedules, sanitation and safety requirements.
Requirements
- Knowledge of housekeeping standards and practices normally acquired through a demonstrated ability to read, write, and remember/follow verbal or written instructions.
- Must be able to participate in 10 minutes of general stretching exercises at the beginning of each shift.
- Demonstrates proficiency in operating numerous pieces of floor care equipment such as high speed buffer, automatic scrubbing machine, carpet extractor and wet vacs.
- Possesses the ability to perform minor equipment repairs and preventative maintenance on floor care equipment.
Nice To Haves
- A high school diploma or GED equivalent beneficial.
- Previous experience in a housekeeping department beneficial.
