Job Description: Responsible for maintaining all floor and carpet care for all designated Backus Health System locations. Moves equipment and furniture for cleaning and rearranges in an orderly manner, relocates offices and departments, changes cubicles and drapes. Cross trains in linen services procedures and techniques as necessary.

Requirements

• Education:None
• Experience: One year experience cleaning/environmental services.
• License and Certification: None.
• Ability to read and understand oral and written instructions, and effectively communicate information.
• Basic computer skills (including opening/reading email, basic internet use).
• Knowledge of the basic fundamentals of basic floor care and housekeeping procedures.
• Some duties may require reading, writing and performing simple mathematics.
• Ability to read and understand oral or written instructions, and communicate necessary information.
• Ability to prioritize daily work assignments.
• Must be organized, flexible and a team player.
• Basic computer knowledge in order to enter data.
• Work is performed in accordance with instructions and procedures.
• Requires the ability to exercise discretion and use good judgment to perform duties promptly and consistently with little direction.
• Incumbents must organize the work and set priorities.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times.

Nice To Haves

• Education: High School diploma
• Experience: Two (2) years of cleaning experience and stripping/waxing floors.
• License and Certification: None.
