About The Position

The EVP, Growth Operations is a senior strategic and operational leader responsible for strengthening, scaling, and modernizing the growth engine across all three North America Media brands — Carat, iProspect, and dentsu X. This role operates at the intersection of strategy, operations, pitching excellence, global integration, marketing, and culture-building, ensuring that the North America Media Practice competes and wins with consistency, intelligence, and operational rigor. A critical part of this role is driving seamless connectivity with the Global Growth Team, ensuring North America is aligned to global standards, tools, intelligence, and best practices. The EVP will serve as the primary NA liaison to global growth leadership — both contributing to the global agenda and translating it into actionable implementation across the region. This includes ensuring unified pitch processes, shared learning, coordinated resourcing, and consistency in how media shows up on major global and multinational pitches. The EVP partners deeply with Media brand CEOs, Brand Growth Leads, Marketing & Communications, Product, Data & Analytics, Finance, and Global Media to build an integrated, insight-led, tech-enabled growth system that elevates pitch performance, increases operational efficiency, and reinforces a collaborative, high-performing growth culture across the region.

Requirements

  • Executive-level experience leading large teams and complex, cross-functional transformation initiatives.
  • Deep experience in media, marketing, digital, consulting, or business development operations.
  • Strong track record shaping and executing multi-year strategic programs.
  • Skilled at leading in ambiguity and building structure where none exists.
  • Proven ability to influence senior executives and drive alignment across matrixed organizations.
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and executive communication capabilities.
  • Experience with sales enablement, CRM, or lead management tools.
  • Strong analytical and strategic problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and operational rigor.
  • Demonstrated ability to build high-performing teams and collaborative cultures.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership & Transformation Growth Transformation Agenda: Develop and operationalize a cohesive transformation roadmap for NA Media growth, aligned with executive leadership and Global Media strategies.
  • Cross‑Functional Integration: Partner across marketing, product, analytics, finance, and communications to embed a unified, modern growth operating model.
  • Program Leadership: Lead strategic programs that define growth governance, reporting, process creation and cross-brand collaboration models.
  • Innovation Leadership: Introduce new methodologies, tools, and ways of working that increase speed, efficiency, and pitch competitiveness.
  • Brand Alignment: Ensure all three Media brands are coordinated in positioning, processes, resourcing, and market-facing growth narratives.
  • Operational Excellence: Design and maintain the NA Media growth operating system — ensuring simple, scalable, water-tight processes from opportunity qualification through pitch close.
  • Standards & Consistency: Establish a unified “Media Way of Pitching,” ensuring alignment with global expectations and best practices.
  • Infrastructural Projects: Lead major initiatives related to pitch decisioning, governance models, prospecting frameworks, knowledge systems, and capability playbooks.
  • Resource Leadership: Manage shared NA growth resources (pursuit, creative, transitions, pitch support) and deploy talent to the highest-priority opportunities across brands.
  • Cross-Network Collaboration: Lead team of growth talent across dentsu media to strengthen NA pitches.
  • Insight-Driven Optimization: Work with Global and NA Intelligence teams to improve reporting, pitch intelligence, competitive insights, and performance visibility.
  • Performance Metrics: Define, monitor, and communicate KPIs tied to pipeline health, operational efficiency, pitch quality, and win rates.
  • Marketing Modernization: Support modernization of the Media marketing operating model, elevating brand presence, content automation, and market visibility.
  • Solutions & Enablement: Build scalable tools, assets, and enablement systems that drive pitch standardization and efficiency.
  • Integrated Storytelling: Ensure consistent positioning, messaging, and prospect experience across Carat, iProspect, and dentsu X.
  • Market Perspective: Stay closely connected to industry trends, competitor movements, analyst landscapes, and best practices to inform future strategies.
  • Leadership of Shared Teams: Manage and develop the high-performing NA Media Practice Growth Team, including pursuit, creative, transition, and pitch support resources.
  • Talent Development: Set clear objectives, drive performance management, support learning agendas, and accelerate career growth for team members.
  • Culture Champion: Foster a winning, collaborative, cross-brand culture that reflects dentsu’s values and creates an environment where people do their best work.
  • Relationship Building: Maintain strong relationships with key departments (legal, commercial, trading, finance, HR) to collectively solve challenges that impact growth.
