The Sazerac House Events Lead manages the strategic execution of all Sazerac House events and select brand experiences. This role manages the full lifecycle of consumer events, community events, corporate and leisure meetings. This entails everything from lead generation and booking to execution. This role will also oversee the flawless execution of VIP visits. Additionally, the Events Lead will be responsible for implementing the events portion of Homeplace’s strategic plan (managing incoming leads, identifying new business opportunities, overseeing event vendor relationships, conducting community outreach, and hosting networking events to elevate the Sazerac House’s visibility and engagement. Plays a key role in supporting fiscal year growth by increasing the volume and value of events hosted at the Sazerac House. This position contributes directly to year-over-year growth by driving a higher number of events compared to previous quarters, increasing total event sales compared to the prior fiscal year, and improving the overall booking close rate from initial prospecting to final confirmation. By optimizing lead conversion and elevating the event experience, this role supports both revenue generation and long-term client retention. Delivers world-class customer service by guiding clients through the event planning process with strategic, personalized communication from initial inquiry to final execution. Embraces a “start from a place of yes” mindset, working proactively to fulfill requests and provide creative, experience-driven solutions. Acts as a consultative partner, anticipating needs and ensuring every interaction reflects Sazerac House’s high standards. From pitching ideas to resolving challenges, this role ensures seamless, memorable experiences for every guest and client. Develop complete understanding of the focus brands for the Sazerac House. Integrate with brand management team for alignment on core brand building platforms within the Sazerac House. Work with LA State Manager on participation in New Orleans events and solicit involvement where appropriate. Provide donations and sponsorships for organizations from the Sazerac House based on budgets. Assist in tastings of the product. Manage Sazerac House and Brand activities such as Tales of the Cocktail and other tasting opportunities to generate "raving fans" of Sazerac Company brands. Coordinate with marketing team to generate brand-specifc events Boosts visitor count by generating and following up on event leads, forging strategic partnerships, and executing outreach plans that drive foot traffic to Sazerac House. Through community engagement, relationship-building, and targeted networking events, this role attracts diverse audiences and positions the venue as a top event destination. It also identifies soft periods and collaborates on programming to fill calendar gaps, implementing forward-looking strategies like 90-day lead plans and targeted convention follow-up. Directly contributes to increased visitation by proactively generating and following up on event leads, building strategic partnerships, and executing outreach plans that drive foot traffic to the Sazerac House. Through community engagement, networking events, and relationships with key market sectors, this role attracts diverse audiences and positions the venue as a premier destination. Identifies projected soft periods and collaborates on programming to fill calendar gaps. Develops 90-day lead generation plans and targets convention business to sustain and grow visitation. Responsible for building, maintaining, and strategically utilizing CMS to strengthen external relationships and drive repeat business. Manages records for all major event organizers, partners, and corporate clients while ensuring timely, personalized follow-up. Proactively reaches out to past clients quarterly, targeting key dates like holidays and conventions to promote bookings. Also updates CMS with New Orleans’ annual convention calendar, including event sizes and dates, to anticipate high-demand periods and align outreach efforts. Use PDS as a tool to monitor performance and evaluate own skills. Participate in PDS discussions with supervisor to prepare for future growth within the company. Identify key team members for potential growth and work with them on skill development. Works with the team to support the Homeplace Master Plan by contributing to the evolution of event programming that drives revenue and exceeds year-over-year sales goals. Collaborates across teams to identify, develop, and implement event concepts that align with high impact tentpole campaigns and key Sazerac specialty brand initiatives. By leveraging insights from past event performance and emerging market trends, the Events Lead ensures that programming remains relevant and strategically positioned to support long-term brand and business objectives.
