About The Position

The Sales, Events & Marketing Coordinator will provide administrative support to the Sales, Events, Planning and Director of Commercial Services Managers. This will include but not be limited to inquiry management, proposals, generating contracts, creating banquet event orders and billing. This person will also be a liaison between the Event Sales Manager and operations at the property giving Hotel Tours to guests. The ideal candidate has a friendly demeanor and will feel comfortable interacting directly with guests over the phone or in person when conducting a site tour. The Coordinator may also be the day-of liaison through event set-up, ceremony and reception. The right person will have the ability to learn new computer programs, multitask and complete projects in a timely manner. Requirements

  • A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment
  • Refined verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient knowledge of computer applications
  • Prior customer service experience required
  • Highly organized and detail oriented with ability to multi-task
  • Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Nice To Haves

  • One year of administrative or hospitality experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Administrative support to the Sales, Events, Planning and Marketing Team
  • Organizing internal bookings
  • Answering phones while in the office and providing guidance to clients on behalf of Sales, Event and Planning Team
  • Assisting Event Managers with incoming leads
  • Effective management of small meetings, under 10 guests
  • Prepare group resumes and event orders
  • Positive collaboration with hotel departments and vendors
