About The Position

Planet is looking for a strategic Events Manager to support our go-to-market plans in North America. Reporting to the Sr. Director of Regional Marketing, you will be responsible for strategically planning and executing a diverse range of hosted, sponsored, and partner events that contribute to pipeline creation, brand awareness, and customer growth. You will work closely with sales and marketing to deliver high-quality, impactful experiences. This is a full-time, hybrid role which will require you to be in our San Francisco HQ or Arlington, Virginia office 3 days per week.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of event, regional or field marketing experience with a track record of effectively managing events from end to end
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, or equivalent
  • Experience planning high-touch, bespoke events, and large-scale trade shows
  • Disciplined approach to event management from strategic planning and flawless execution to post-event lead management and reporting
  • Analytical mindset for measuring event performance, analyzing ROI, and providing data-driven recommendations for future event strategies.
  • Experience creating and executing events that directly support ABM strategies

  • Success in building strong partnerships with sales teams to align on event goals, objectives, and execution tactics
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and execute multiple ongoing events under tight deadlines
  • Proficiency in marketing automation tools and CRM systems to track event effectiveness, monitor engagement, and measure ROI for future planning

Responsibilities

  • Lead the strategy and execution for regional events and high-touch experiences tailored to key audiences
  • Creatively plan and execute impactful events that reach new audiences, accelerate sales opportunities, and strengthen customer relationships
  • Partner with Sales, Customer Success, and Marketing to align event plans with ABM strategies
  • Influence marketing pipeline metrics and other key performance indicators through successful event delivery and follow-up
