About The Position

The Events Management Manager is responsible for coordinating the logistics of meetings and events held within the firm’s in-house client center at the 270 Park Client Center. This role leads and supports the client center planning team responsible for delivering end-to-end meeting planning services, ensuring the highest level of service excellence and operational effectiveness. The manager partners closely with colleagues in Technology, Operations, and on-site service providers to create an outstanding experience for daily users and clients. Responsibilities also include reporting, maximizing space utilization, managing escalations and last-minute space requests, and supporting special projects that enhance the 270 Park Client Center experience. As a Corporate Meeting Manager at the 270 Park Client Center, you will orchestrate seamless meetings and events that elevate the client experience and drive business success. You will lead a dedicated planning team, delivering end-to-end event management services with a focus on service excellence and operational efficiency. By collaborating with Technology, Operations, and on-site service partners, you ensure every interaction is exceptional for both daily users and clients. Your expertise will maximize space utilization, streamline logistics, and resolve escalations and last-minute requests with agility. You will also contribute to strategic projects that enhance the client center’s offerings, positioning the 270 Park Client Center as the premier destination for corporate meetings and events within the firm.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in hospitality and/or events, focusing on guest and client experience
  • Understanding of meeting planning processes and end-to-end customer experience management
  • Experience managing on-site and remote teams
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities and apply sound judgment
  • Knowledge of food and beverage service and catering operations
  • Working knowledge of audio-visual and meeting technology
  • Decisive leadership in fast-paced, diverse environments
  • Familiarity with business processes and procedures
  • Analytical skills, including budget planning
  • Strategic mindset with risk awareness and planning capability
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); experience with Event Management System (EMS)

Responsibilities

  • Effectively manage the in-house 270 Park Client Center planning team and oversee daily operations
  • Proactively address day-to-day challenges and support the team in resolving issues
  • Consistently ensure standard operating procedures are followed to maintain customer service
  • Regularly interact with senior management and Line of Business representatives to deliver a first-class experience
  • Diligently maintain relationships with client center operations teams, including Service, Culinary, Technology, and Purchasing
  • Routinely review and manage meeting space usage to maximize utilization and optimize scheduling
  • Strategically assign meetings and events to planners based on skill level, complexity, and workload
  • Actively participate in daily operations meetings and weekly performance reviews
  • Accurately execute pre- and post-event communications, capturing all details in EMS
  • Reliably provide coverage for reception desk functions, including answering calls and responding to emails
  • Continuously lead or support projects that enhance the Client Center, planning services, and client experience
