About The Position

The Events Intern will provide support for the Public Relations/Events Department. They will have primary responsibility for fulfilling Swag requests and working with Public Relations and Event Coordinator to manage, reorder and provide inventory control for Swag. They will help to solicit volunteers, track participation and attendance and communicate with Team Members to fill tables at sponsored events (i.e. Chamber Tables). They will also work closely with the Events Coordinator on administrative task and organizing the workflow and productivity of the Events/Marketing Team. Duties and Responsibilities: Event Support: -Assist in the logistical planning and coordination of events, including venue selection, vendor communication, and materials procurement. -Help prepare event timelines, checklists, and run-of-show documents. -Support on-site event setup, registration, and tear-down. -Coordinate event volunteers and staff as needed. Marketing & Promotion: -Assist in developing promotional materials for events, such as flyers, social media graphics, email campaigns, and website content. -Help manage event registration processes and track attendance. -Contribute to social media content creation and scheduling related to events. Community Engagement: -Represent the credit union professionally at community events, promoting our services and values. -Assist with collecting member feedback and event evaluations. -Help identify potential community partnerships and sponsorship opportunities. Administrative Support: -Maintain accurate event records, including budgets, attendance data, and contact lists. -Process invoices and track event expenses. -Assist with general administrative tasks as assigned by the Marketing/Community Relations team. -Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a Bachelor's degree program in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Strong interest in event planning and community engagement.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends as required for events.
  • Reliable transportation is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with social media platforms and basic graphic design tools (e.g., Canva) is a plus.
