About The Position

We are seeking a highly organized and dynamic individual to join our team as an Event Assistant and support meetings/events at the General Motors Technical Center – Warren Campus. The Event Assistant will play a crucial role in the planning, coordination, and execution of various events. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. This job description outlines the basic duties and requirements for the Event Assistant position. Duties and responsibilities may evolve over time based on the needs of the organization.   Compensation: The Salaried rate for this position is $60K to $60K, that is the amount that Aramark expects to offer. This is Aramark’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the compensation for this position as of the time of posting. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Marketing, or related field preferred
  • Proven experience in event planning or coordination
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Creative problem-solving skills and ability to think on your feet
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively

Responsibilities

  • Support the event management team with daily tasks
  • Create and maintain event documents, including room diagrams and campus maps
  • Verify room setups are correct, including tables, chairs, podium, riser, catering tables, and additional items as required; Notify appropriate departments if room setups are incorrect and ensure the adjustments
  • Schedule Corrigo work orders to support upcoming events
  • Prepare event reports in Microsoft Excel and attend weekly event meetings
  • Provide exceptional customer service to meeting organizers and address any inquiries or concerns
  • Submit digital artwork to Ricoh for event signage to be printed
  • Track inventory of event furniture and maintain organization of storage areas
  • Conduct post-event evaluations to gather feedback and improve future events
