About The Position

Arts & Science is seeking a dynamic Events and Projects Administrator to join the Graduate School of Arts & Science, Office of the Dean. This individual will develop, supervise, and implement a variety of Dean's Office events and special projects including, but not limited to, two graduation ceremonies, annual alumni events, and GSAS Advisory Board meetings and events. Facilitate donor cultivation between the Dean and University Development and Alumni Relations (UDAR). Serve as project manager for new and existing GSAS initiatives, including grants. Compose, edit and coordinate a variety of communications on behalf of the Dean, including annual fellowship and stewardship reports. Serve as the Dean's representative liaison with other deans, chairs, faculty administrators, staff and students. Assist the Executive Assistant/Administrative Manager with supervision of Dean's office staff including hiring, training, and evaluating performance. Administer budget for events, grants, and projects; prepare annual forecasts and assess budget needs based on trends.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 3+ years relevant experience or equivalent combination. Must include experience developing and implementing programs, projects, and special events; budget administration; and staff supervision.
  • Excellent organization and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with individuals at all levels both verbally and in writing
  • Working knowledge of word processing; strong knowledge of spreadsheet/database software
