About The Position

This role is for someone who enjoys making event technology work seamlessly. The Event Technology Specialist provides subject matter expertise for event registration solutions, partnering with clients to understand program requirements and translating those needs into well-configured registration websites and mobile event apps that support project goals.

Requirements

  • 4-year degree or equivalent experience
  • Demonstrated technical and analytical aptitude
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office suite
  • Ability to travel and work independently, as well as part of a team
  • Skill in organizing and prioritizing work
  • Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of the meeting and event industry is preferred
  • Knowledge of event registration tools preferred (e.g., Cvent, Swoogo, Certain)
  • Knowledge of Event Mobile Apps preferred (e.g., Cvent, Amego, SpotMe, Eventbase)
  • HTML and CSS proficiency a plus

Responsibilities

  • Consult with appropriate event stakeholders to deliver an optimal technology solution based upon event requirements
  • Gather and document requirements for each opportunity, and update as appropriate through the event live cycle
  • Establish and manage a timeline for each assigned project; promptly communicating changes that will impact the delivery dates and or implementation effort
  • Configure client websites using the registration platform contracted for each client
  • Trouble shoot throughout registration lifecycle and promptly address issues to limit downtime and ensure appropriate site functionality
  • Performs User Acceptance Testing (UAT) on all sites built, and other sites as requested
  • Prepare and brief the Customer Xperience team to ensure they are prepared to support the event
  • Support Customer Xperience team on registration and mobile app related questions as necessary
  • Support or configure mobile app content, integration, and app deployment as requested
  • Become familiar with the assigned client accounts to understand their priorities, nuances, and key deliverables
  • Proactive support of teammates to ensure collective team success
  • Drive for continuous improvement through build experience, and leveraging available training
  • Performs other duties as requested
