About The Position

The Event Support Technician-Janitorial is responsible for cleaning, restocking, set up and dismantling of sanitation equipment during events. This role involves performing deep cleaning, pumping, and sanitizing portable toilets and restroom/shower trailers, ensuring they are fully stocked with supplies to meet hygiene standards. The technician acts as a janitorial attendant during live events, providing immediate cleaning, managing waste bins, and assisting guests as needed. Key duties also include handling and disposing of hazardous materials, safely moving and positioning equipment, and properly packing, loading, and unloading event equipment. The role requires working with a crew to install and dismantle equipment on-site, troubleshooting minor equipment issues, and reporting any broken or missing equipment. The technician must ensure spaces are clean and free of safety hazards, navigate complex event site plans, and adhere to all safety policies and procedures, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or GED is required.
  • A valid driver's license is required.
  • Experience with and a basic understanding of various cleaning products, including industrial-grade chemicals, and knowledge of safety guidelines for their use.
  • A sharp eye for cleanliness to ensure trailers and toilets meet guest expectations.
  • Must be able to repeatedly lift heavy objects, sometimes up to 50 pounds, and perform physically demanding tasks for long periods in various weather conditions.
  • Requires a positive, professional, and patient demeanor when interacting with clients and event teams.
  • Must be available to work irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as required by event schedule.
  • The ability to work cooperatively with crew leaders and other team members is crucial for on-site execution.

Responsibilities

  • Perform deep cleaning, pumping, and sanitizing of portable toilets and restroom/shower trailers.
  • Ensure all units are fully stocked with supplies (toilet paper, soap, hand sanitizer, and paper towels) to meet hygiene standards.
  • Act as a janitorial attendant during live events, providing immediate cleaning, managing waste bins, and assisting guests as needed.
  • Handle and dispose of hazardous materials and waste according to established guidelines.
  • Safely move and position portable toilets and trailers at various sites.
  • Properly and securely pack, load, and unload event equipment to prevent damage during transport.
  • Work with a crew to install and dismantle equipment on-site according to client specifications.
  • Troubleshoot and repair minor equipment issues at event sites, adapting quickly to changes in schedules or event restrictions.
  • Report broken or missing equipment to supervision.
  • Ensure spaces are clean and free of safety hazards.
  • Navigate unique and often complex event site plans.
  • Follow all safety policies and procedures, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
