About The Position

The Event Support Trailer Technician is responsible for the operational success of sanitation equipment during events.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or GED is required, with relevant technical certifications or an Associate's degree in a related field being highly desirable.
  • A valid, clean driver's license is required.
  • Forklift certification
  • Previous experience in event setup, or a warehouse environment is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, with the ability to read and interpret schematics.
  • Exceptional diagnostic and problem-solving abilities to quickly identify and resolve equipment issues.
  • Must be able to repeatedly lift heavy objects, sometimes up to50 pounds, and perform physically demanding tasks for long periods in various weather conditions.
  • Requires a positive, professional, and patient demeanor when interacting with clients and event teams.
  • In-depth understanding of how to read plans and site layouts
  • Must be available to work irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays,as required by event schedule.
  • The ability to work cooperatively with crew leaders and other team members is crucial for on-site execution.

Responsibilities

  • Connect trailers to water sources and power supplies, ensuring all drainage and electrical systems are fully operational at installation.
  • Identify and resolve on-site issues involving basic electrical (wiring, breakers, batteries), plumbing (faucets, drains, supply lines), and HVAC systems.
  • Act as the primary technical contact for event organizers, performing routine maintenance, restocking supplies (soap, paper products), and ensuring units remain sanitary and functional throughout the event.
  • Conduct mechanical and structural repairs, including brakes, tires, lighting, and internal fixtures like doors or flooring.
  • Navigate unique and often complex event site plans.
  • Properly and securely pack, load, and unload event equipment to prevent damage during transport.
  • Work with a crew to install and dismantle equipment on-site according to client specifications.
  • Serve as a point of contact for venue staff, addressing on-site needs and ensuring the highest level of professionalism and service.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management
