About The Position

The Event Strategist is a forward-thinking, client-facing role responsible for developing and guiding experience strategies that connect people, inspire performance, and drive measurable results. Acting as both a creative storyteller and a strategic consultant, the Event Strategist ensures that every program and activation aligns with our clients’ overarching business goals and brand vision. This role partners closely with Business Development, Experience Design, Operations, and other subject matter experts (SMEs) to design integrated solutions that fuel both individual and organizational success.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • 5+ years of experience in strategic event planning, brand strategy, event design, or related field.
  • Proven ability to translate business objectives into creative and experiential strategies.
  • Experience leveraging data and insights to inform decision-making.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate across departments and with external partners.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with collaboration platforms and design tools.
  • Demonstrated expertise in experience strategy, brand storytelling, or a related field.
  • Must exhibit behaviors aligned with the organization’s Vision and Values.
  • Excellent interpersonal and presentational skills and client service orientation to work effectively with internal and external sources, facilitate customer discovery calls, design workshops with clients, and ensure outstanding service to our clients.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to articulate direction for a client opportunity, orchestrate seamless communication between internal and external sources, help to create “the story,” and develop white papers and presentations to amplify our industry reach.
  • Good listening skills to identify and understand client’s objectives and challenges and be able to arrive at ideas and experiences that meet their objectives for the event.
  • Strategic, forward-thinking and with critical thinking skills to define the strategic framework that would solve the client’s challenges, translate high level opportunity strategy to product SMEs, and analyze success and failure rate and course correct.
  • Self-generated learner with orientation toward continuous process improvement.
  • Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple clients/projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary guardian of client brand and experience strategy, ensuring all activations align with client overall objectives.
  • Act as the strategic translator between client business goals and Creative Group’s creative execution.
  • Participate in the client journey from opportunity identification through post-event evaluation, including onsite support as needed.
  • Stay current and certified on Creative Group’s suite of integrated solutions to proactively identify opportunities to upsell and expand impact, driving measurable value for clients and attendees.
  • Collaborate with Business Development to identify scalable, long-term strategies during annual account planning.
  • Leverage data and insights to customize and refine strategies for experiences and future activation and drive meaningful business impact.
  • Partner with internal SMEs (e.g., creative, operations, technology, data) to co-create seamless integrated experiences, elevating the attendee’s experience.
  • Facilitate collaboration across teams with humility, inclusivity, and a holistic mindset.
  • Actively engage in ongoing learning to stay current on industry trends, innovations, and Creative Group’s suite of solutions.
  • Develop through line-storytelling, experience continuity, and innovation across all touchpoints cohesive narratives that connect pre-event communications, live experiences, and post-event engagement with the client’s global brand vision and objectives. Ensure storytelling aligns with clients’ brand vision, values, and “why.”
  • Incorporate research, data, and attendee insights to inform and refine strategic recommendations.
  • Oversee the creative ideation of event themes, design concepts, and experiential touchpoints during the Envision phase.
  • Guide Experience Designers in creating high-impact, immersive, and differentiated experiences.
  • Align visual, sensory, and interactive elements with client goals to maximize ROI.
  • Lead the i|Lab and i|xperience processes with clients and teams to design, prototype, and test innovative concepts.
  • Ensure strategies are future-focused and contribute to Creative Group’s vision of reimagining how the world connects.
  • Facilitate strategy sessions, workshops, and ideation with clients and internal teams.
  • Act as a “strategic agitator,” challenging assumptions and elevating thinking to unlock innovative solutions.
  • Provide broad, cross-functional insights that bridge the gap between business strategy and human experience.
