About The Position

5 STAR Event Services is looking for fun and safety people to join our guest services team for upcoming sports & music events for permanent PART TIME, hourly employment. Check out our current Event Calendar here: www.5starstaff.com/calendar Description: Event Staff and Security Officers help ensure a safe, enjoyable experience for all guests, clients, and employees. Pay Range: $13.00 and up/per hour

Requirements

High School diploma or GED equivalent
At least 18 years of age
Reliable forms of communication and transportation
LEVEL 2 SECURITY LICENSE (Level II Training & Exam provided for free. All applicants are required to apply, pass exam, submit to fingerprinting, and criminal background check.)
A strong customer-service attitude and professional appearance
Possess excellent written and oral communication skills
The ability to understand and interpret credentials, documents, signs, rules, policies, and instructions
The ability to communicate effectively with clients, patrons and other employees
The ability to multi-task, cross-train and learn new skills quickly
The ability to remain calm and level-headed under high-pressure situations
Full physical and mental dexterity with the ability to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, hear, see and speak English clearly
The ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time (shift duration)
The ability to lift 25lbs
Flexible availability is required.

Responsibilities

Protect and maintain the integrity of restricted and public areas
Monitor entry and exit points
Conduct routine bag checks, ticket/credential screening, and other inspection procedures
Greet guests and direct them to seating and services
Keep walkways and access routes clear
Respond to guest concerns and follow proper procedures
Enforce facility rules and report suspicious behavior
Assist with orderly evacuations during emergencies
Provide security escorts as needed
