Position Summary The Event Security position has a commitment to excellence in guest service, while providing necessary safety and security support to guests visiting the PPG Paints Arena. Will be required to join the union, upon invitation, following 90-day probationary period. This role will pay an hourly wage of $18.06 (per CBA). Benefits as per the union agreement. EVERGREEN ROLE: Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis; there is no application deadline About the Venue As a leading entertainment venue, PPG Paints Arena is the regional epicenter for athletic events, concerts, and family shows in Western Pennsylvania, and home to the NHL's Pittsburgh Penguins.

Requirements

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Good written, verbal and interpersonal skills required
  • Professional presentation, appearance and work ethic
  • Ability to work irregular hours including, nights, weekends and holidays
  • Ability to interact with all levels of staff including management.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older

Responsibilities

  • Deliver superior guest service while ensuring proper building and governmental protocols are being followed.
  • Respond to requests for assistance from staff and visitors for a variety of security issues (fire, medical emergencies, etc.)
  • Ensure all safety and building guidelines are being followed, and proper security checks are conducted during guest entry.
  • Assist in the control and safety of all guests that visit the facility.
  • Ensure crowd control stays at a reasonable level and assist in emergency situations and conflicts as needed.
  • Interact with the public and all levels of management and fellow employees.
  • Enforce rules and regulations of the facility.
  • Provide directional assistance, as needed, by being knowledgeable about locations throughout the facility.
  • Provide professionalism, courtesy, and respect to all guests and fellow employees.
