About The Position

The Event Sales Specialist is the first point of connection for clients seeking memorable hospitality experiences. You excel at building rapport, asking thoughtful questions, and understanding a client’s vision. You guide prospective clients through the discovery and booking process with warmth, clarity, and professionalism. Once an event is booked, you transition all details to the planning team, who will handle logistics, coordination, and execution. You thrive in a relationship‑driven environment, communicate with ease, and take pride in representing the Spice brand.

Requirements

  • Strong passion for hospitality and guest experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in event sales, client relations, or hospitality‑focused customer service.
  • Warm, outgoing personality that builds trust quickly.
  • Highly organized and detail‑oriented.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple inquiries and timelines simultaneously.
  • Comfortable working independently and making informed decisions.
  • Open to feedback and committed to continuous learning.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to all new inquiries within 24 hours.
  • Build emotional connection with prospective clients through thoughtful questions and active listening.
  • Understand the client’s vision, needs, preferences, and budget.
  • Clearly communicate Spice’s services, hospitality philosophy, and event capabilities.
  • Conduct phone calls, Zoom meetings, or in‑person consultations as needed.
  • Maintain organized, timely, and professional communication throughout the sales process.
  • Qualify leads to ensure alignment with Spice’s offerings and standards.
  • Recommend menus and service styles that best fit the client’s goals and budget.
  • Create all‑inclusive quotes using Caterease.
  • Manage budget expectations and guide clients toward the best options for their event.
  • Coordinate and schedule tastings once the client approves the quote and budget.
  • Secure signed contracts and deposits.
  • Explain contract terms, policies, and payment schedules.
  • Ensure all relevant event details are captured before handing off to the planning team.
  • Provide the event planning team with complete, accurate information for a seamless transition.
  • Communicate client expectations, preferences, and any special considerations.
  • Maintain strong relationships with internal teams to support smooth operations and client satisfaction.
  • Follow up with clients after their event to thank them and nurture long‑term relationships.
  • Encourage repeat business and referrals through thoughtful, genuine communication.
