About The Position

The Event Sales & Planning Manager's primary focus is selling and servicing Event Sales bookings, including but not limited to wedding events, vow renewals, and local social and business events. This position acts as the liaison between wedding couples, event planners, and hotel staff. Responsibilities include sales negotiation, administering sales agreements, full wedding coordination, detailing all food, beverage, vendor, and A/V needs, as well as managing room blocks and pick-up, billing instructions, and final bill review. The Event Sales & Planning Manager is also the on-site contact and is responsible for the smooth execution of all events. Decisions regarding individual salaries will be based on a number of factors including experience and qualifications.

Requirements

  • A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast paced environment.
  • Refined verbal and written communication skills
  • A minimum of 1-3 years of hotel event sales/event planning or comparable experience preferred
  • Must be proficient in general computer knowledge
  • Candidates should be extremely detail oriented, organized and be able to handle a fast paced environment

Nice To Haves

  • Prefer two years hotel experience or completed Event Management Trainee program
