We are looking for a leader with a hands-on and positive leadership approach as we continue to grow and build in this high energy market. A. Marshall Hospitality started out as a small community grocery store & gathering spot, known as Puckett's Grocery and Restaurant, in Leiper's Fork, TN. Still owned and operated by the Marshall family, the Puckett's brand has grown into 8 locations throughout Tennessee and Alabama as well as 2 additional concepts- Deacon's New South in Nashville, TN and Scout's Pub in Franklin, TN. POSITION INFORMATION Position: Event Sales Manager Locations: Nashville, Franklin, Hendersonville, Murfreesboro Start Date: As Soon as Available Status: Full-time / Exempt and at-will Hours: Monday - Friday, may need to attend some events on evenings and weekends JOB SUMMARY The Event Sales Manager is focused on outbound sales and relationship-building, as well as creating new opportunities, cultivating partnerships, and selling our brand wherever people gather. This includes consistent generation of new catering and event leads, strong pipeline of corporate, social, and community event business, positive brand recognition and relationships throughout Middle Tennessee, and seamless collaboration with internal operations and booking teams. BENEFITS PACKAGE In addition to a base salary, you will be paid out a commission on a quarterly basis. Two weeks paid vacation per fiscal year, available after 6 continuous months with the company. Annual Incentive Trip - we set stretch goals annually for each location, and for the locations that meet those goals we take them on a five day mostly paid trip to celebrate. We have been to places like Cabo San Lucas, Telluride, CO, and on a cruise! You must be with the company for 10 months to be eligible. Eligibility to participate in the company's employee health benefits program which includes Medical , Dental and Vision Insurance stated 60 days after hire, plus the first of the month Short-Term Disability Insurance, which includes Paid Maternity Leave 50% discount for you and your immediate family at your restaurant of employment for in-house food and non-alcoholic beverages 50% discount at any of our affiliated restaurants for in-house food and non-alcoholic beverages and apparel Discounted rates available for catering services for all of our affiliated restaurants.

Requirements

  • Be 21 years of age or older.
  • Have reliable transportation to and from work.
  • Must pass the federally mandated E-verify process.
  • Must have an Alcoholic Beverage Commission (ABC) serving permit.
  • Must be able to communicate clearly with managers, kitchen and dining room personnel and guests.
  • Must have a basic knowledge of dining room and service procedures and functions.
  • Possess basic math skills and have the ability to handle money and operate a point-of-sale system.
  • Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours).
  • Be able to safely lift and easily maneuver trays of food and beverage frequently weighing up to 20 to 30 pounds.
  • Must be self-disciplined, take initiative, contain leadership abilities, and must be outgoing.
  • Must have a pleasant, polite manner and a neat and clean appearance.
  • Required to work closely with team members to collectively produce a successful event.
  • Must be willing to travel to all restaurants for events.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and adhere to all laws and regulations while driving company vehicles.
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Promote, work, and act in a manner consistent with the mission of A. Marshall Hospitality: "To make every person we interact with feel like family and to make every guest a fan."
  • Actively cover the Nashville, Franklin, and Hendersonville markets
  • Proactively generate new catering and event business through outreach, networking, site visits, and community engagement
  • Identify and pursue opportunities with corporations, venues, wedding planners, schools, churches, nonprofits, and local organizations
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with event planners, venue managers, and community leaders
  • Represent the restaurant group at networking events, tastings, trade shows, and community functions
  • Act as a brand ambassador for the restaurant group, clearly communicating our food, values, and hospitality style
  • Attend catered events as needed to support sales efforts, strengthen relationships, and identify future opportunities
  • Ensure our brand is presented professionally and consistently in all external interactions
  • Work closely with the Catering & Booking Events Manager to smoothly transition booked business into execution
  • Share market insights, trends, and feedback to improve offerings and sales strategies
  • Maintain accurate records of leads, contacts, and opportunities
  • Strategically plan outreach and follow-ups to maximize territory growth
  • Ensure detailed documentation and communication is kept up to date in the appropriate systems
