About The Position

Essential Functions: Sales & Client Development Promptly respond to incoming phone, online, email, and in-person walk-in sales inquiries, providing timely, accurate, and professional follow-up. Qualify leads and assess client needs, budgets, timelines, and event objectives Conduct in-person site tours and client consultations Prepare and present customized proposals, contracts, and pricing Negotiate terms, close event sales and collect deposits to meet or exceed revenue goals Upsell using company's premium offerings and resources Generate new business through flawless service, exceeding expectations, on-site guests interactions, outbound outreach, referrals, and networking Event Planning & Coordination Serve as the primary point of contact through the initial inquiry through contract execution Collaborate with clients to develop event concepts, timelines, and logistics Coordinate with internal teams in culinary, beverage, execution, and marketing to ensure feasibility and alignment Communicate event details clearly and accurately using event management software and timely calendar notification and written updates Oversee coordination and execution teams with menu planning, floor plans, timelines, and vendor coordination as needed Account Management Maintain strong client relationships to encourage repeat business and referrals Manage contracts, deposits, and payment schedules Track changes, add-ons, and upsells throughout the planning process Revenue & Performance Management Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets Report sales Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities Monitor event profitability and cost controls in collaboration Event Execution Support Support on-site event execution as needed to ensure client satisfaction Address last-minute changes or challenges professionally and efficiently Marketing & Brand Representation Represent the company professionally Maintain up-to-date knowledge of venue offerings, packages, and seasonal menus Collaborate with marketing to keep sales tools current Uphold brand standards and guest experience expectations Refer to other Genesis Hospitality venues when there are scheduling conflicts or as best meets guests' needs or vision Administrative & Compliance Duties Ensure contracts and event details comply with company policies and legal requirements Maintain organized files and documentation Follow established sales processes and procedures Participate in team meetings, training, and performance reviews Notify corporate of any unforeseeable challenges or guest complaints

Requirements

  • 2-5 years sales experience, preferably for weddings and/or a hospitality outlet
  • BA/BS or equivalent experience preferred but not required
  • Requires a working knowledge of banquet/catering food and beverage services, policies or operations
  • Computer proficiency in MS Office, Excel, e-mail and internet functions
  • Knowledge of restaurant operations, including marketing plans, security and safety programs, personnel and labor relations, preparation of business plans, repairs, maintenance, budget forecasting, quality assurance programs, hospitality law, and long-range planning
  • The employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear
  • The employee is frequently required to stand and walk
  • Requires moderate physical efforts: standing, carrying, bending, stretching, stooping, pulling and pushing, lifting of weights up to 50 pounds.
