About The Position

We are seeking a driven, polished, and detail-oriented Event Sales Manager to join our high-volume, multi-department event venue. This role reports directly to the Senior Sales Manager and Events Director and plays a critical part in elevating revenue, strengthening client relationships, and supporting seamless event execution across departments. Position Overview The Event Sales Manager supports and drives revenue generation while maintaining operational excellence. This role requires a balance of proactive sales outreach, client-facing leadership, systems management, and day-of-event presence when needed. You will embody the precision of an administrative expert, the warmth of a hospitality professional, and the initiative of a sales leader.

Requirements

  • Prior experience in event sales, hospitality sales, or venue sales required
  • Strong closing ability and revenue-focused mindset
  • Proficiency in Adobe InDesign
  • Experience with Tripleseat, OpenTable, HotSchedules, Asana, and iCal preferred
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Confident communicator with polished, client-facing presence
  • Ability to manage multiple events simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexible availability required. Position is primarily scheduled during daytime hours, with occasional evening shifts as needed

Responsibilities

  • Assist in generating and converting new event leads
  • Conduct venue tours and confidently present packages and services
  • Prepare proposals, contracts, and event documentation
  • Support strategic initiatives to elevate revenue across multiple departments
  • Maintain strong follow-up practices and relationship management
  • Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-departmental collaboration
  • Serve as a primary client contact throughout the planning process
  • Act as event manager for onsite events while directing staff and adequately closing out events
  • Support event execution to ensure service standards and client expectations are exceeded
  • Maintain professionalism and composure in high-volume service environments
  • Work directly with management and culinary team to ensure staffing abilities and menu accommodations
  • Manage event details across platforms including Tripleseat, OpenTable, HotSchedules, Asana, and iCal
  • Design and format menus and event collateral using Adobe InDesign
  • Ensure accuracy of BEOs and internal communications
  • Maintain organized timelines, calendars, and sales reporting systems
  • Support and help maintain networking schedules and community engagement initiatives
  • Assist in cultivating industry relationships and referral partnerships
  • Represent the venue at outreach events when appropriate
