The event sales team are accepting Event Sales Associate applications. In this part-time role, you would be responsible for assisting with sales activities in a fast-paced, client-oriented environment. We will rely on you to welcome clients through phone and email inquiries. Additionally, you will support the overall operational and service needs of the team through creating files and diagrams, producing internal and external event orders, and managing other duties.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 2 years of administrative experience
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Proficiency in Outlook, Word, and database software
  • Flexible availability, including two Saturdays/month

Responsibilities

  • Ensures client satisfaction first and foremost with attentiveness and consistent communication.
  • Effectively utilizes Infor/CRM as the main tool for managing client information and to support the creation and updating of event orders.
  • Understands yields for both Professional and Social Markets.
  • Works with clients to evaluate best options that work within their budget, while meeting minimum yield requirements set by The Henry Ford.
  • Supports managers with administrative tasks which include correspondence, distributing information, processing deposit requests and receipts, and generating reports.
  • Provides client site tours as assigned and maintains tour schedule.
  • Responsible for opening and closing offices, maintaining sales tools and hospitality items, and keeping the team informed of status updates.
  • Responsible for taking and distributing team meeting minutes.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
