Event-Ready Restaurant Server
About The Position
Event Restaurant Servers (On-Call / Events Only) Be Available for approaching, fun-filled occasions: Chef Takeover, Live Concert Nights, Pool Parties & DJ's Great service. Great food. Even better nights. We’re looking for experienced servers that are flexible, reliable and comfortable stepping into a hgh volume, casino setting. Those who love fast-paced service & special events. Pay Rate:$10.00 Hourly Rate + Tips (AVG Tip Rate:$17.67) | On-Call Temporary employee to assist with events at Choctaw Landing Job Purpose or Objective(s): You will serve food and drinks in a thoughtful manner ensuring a positive dining experience. You will report to the Food & Beverage Shift Manager.
Requirements
- ABLE Certification
- Can handle cash responsibly.
- Calculate basic math functions (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages) as they relate to POS cash/credit transactions, cash reconciliation and product inventory.
- Can speak, read, and write English.
- Teamwork skills are required to support the success and enjoyment of the guest.
- Previous Server or Wait staff Experience.
- Engage with a wide range of guests, can read a room, balance speed with attentiveness
- Are friendly, attentive, and great with guest
- Have a professional & helpful performance under pressure
- Take pride in food delivery, confident in drink serving, ensure guest satisfaction
Responsibilities
- Provide attentive service during busy peak hours & event driven shifts
- Work within casino hospitality environment
- Working alongside chefs, bartenders, and event staff
- Deliver Consistent service in a dynamic, friendly setting
- Serve food and drink items and ensure correct temperature.
- Answer questions posed by patrons including basic ingredients in food to help identify any possible allergy issues should a guest ask.
- Help bus tables to ensure the table is available for the next guest.
- Communicate with wait staff, managers, bus persons, bartenders, supervisors, and kitchen staff to improve communication and coordination so that patrons may be impressed by their dining experience.
- Promote current casino events and programs and can give guests directions to all casino areas.
- Perform regular closing tasks, including side work, set up, maintaining station cleanliness and end of shift tasks.
- Perform other tasks as may be assigned.
