About The Position

The Event Operations Associate is responsible for supporting the planning, coordination, and execution of high-quality virtual and in-person CNBC Events, ensuring seamless operations across all stages of production.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in corporate event coordination, logistics, or production
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and event management software
  • Experience managing vendors, tracking budgets, and ensuring contractual compliance
  • Detail-oriented and process-driven, with strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, both independently and as part of a team
  • Willingness to travel and work occasional evenings or weekends as required

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Event Managers in the end-to-end planning and execution of events from salon dinners to multi-day conferences
  • Develop, maintain, and track detailed event production schedules, timelines, and task lists
  • Contribute to the creative development of event elements
  • Research new vendors, venues, and production partners that align with event goals, creative vision and budget parameters
  • Coordinate and manage relationships with vendors, including sourcing, processing and tracking invoices and contract deliverables
  • Liaise with technical production teams on staffing and logistical needs
  • Support onsite event execution, including setup, vendor coordination, troubleshooting and real-time decision-making to resolve operational challenges
  • Assist with post-event reporting, including budget reconciliation
  • Stay informed on industry trends and tools to inform planning and elevate overall event experiences
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met while maintaining accuracy, quality and compliance
