About The Position

The Event Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing a wide range of member and private events at the country club, including golf tournaments, racquets events, aquatic programs, social gatherings, and special club functions. This role ensures exceptional member experiences through seamless event execution, strong cross-department collaboration, and outstanding service standards.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management , e vent m anagement, or a related field preferred
3–5 years of experience in event planning, hospitality, or private club operations
Experience with sports-related or recreational events strongly preferred
Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
Ability to manage multiple events simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Frequently sits, talks, hears, uses hands.
Regularly walks and stands.
Occasionally reaches with hands and arms, stoops, kneels, crawls and crouches.
Occasionally lifts up to 50 pounds.
Noise level is moderate.
Occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions.
Ability to read and speak English (e.g. the associates are required to communicate with English speaking customers or co-workers, the manuals for the equipment the associates may use are in English).
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong attention to detail, and exceptional organizational skills.
Ability to work independently with little or no supervision.
Excellent interpersonal and time management

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of Foretees , Jonas , and Microsoft Office (or similar) applications is helpful.
Related experience involving food & beverage and catering sales is preferred.

Responsibilities

Plan, organize, and execute club-sponsored and private events, including golf tournaments, tennis and pickleball events, swim meets, poolside functions, social events, and holiday programming
Develop event timelines, layouts, run-of-show documents, and staffing plans
Runs weekly BEO meeting, key role in property communication for event execution
Serve as the primary point of contact for members, vendors, and internal departments for assigned events
Oversee on-site event execution to ensure smooth operations, service excellence, and member satisfaction
Creates events in ForeTees for members to register via website and app
Generates digital art for club events
Assists F&B Director with strategic sales program designed meet/exceed the clubs sales and revenues goals in the areas of golf events, weddings and social events.
Work closely with Golf, Racquets, Aquatics, Food & Beverage, Facilities, and Member Services teams to align event goals and logistics
Assist Food & Beverage Director in developing event budgets, pricing, and cost controls
Track event revenue and expenses; ensure accurate billing and documentation
Maintain event calendars, contracts, and post-event reports
Evaluate event success and provide recommendations for future improvements , send out post event surveys
Source, coordinate, and manage vendors such as entertainment, rentals, décor, and audio/visual
Regular and reliable attendance
Varies F&B roles in offseason not limited to: Manager on duty, server, hostess, busser for large events
F&B responsibilities in season not limited to: scheduling of banquet staff, event training with servers and bartenders
