About The Position
The Toledo Zoo & Aquarium is seeking an Event Facility Coordinator to create unforgettable wedding and special event experiences for guests. This part-time, non-exempt position involves close collaboration with clients, vendors, and zoo staff to ensure smooth event execution. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem solver with strong organizational, administrative, customer service, listening, and communication skills, and is willing to go above and beyond to ensure exceptional events.
Requirements
- Previously experience in catering, wedding/event planning, or customer service
- Detailed oriented work schedules include weekdays, weekends, evenings, and can include holidays
- Must have open availability for Fridays and Saturdays
- Must have the physical ability to work on your feet and be able to walk the Zoo grounds for several hours at a time
- Must be 18 years of age
- Must have a valid drivers’ license and be insurable by the fleet insurance carrier
- The Toledo Zoo is a drug-free workplace, including marijuana
Responsibilities
- Coordinating client drop-offs
- Overseeing rehearsals
- Assisting with event setup
- Ensuring seamless communication between all parties involved
