About The Position

The Houston Texans is looking for players who want to make an impact on the Team. We scout for players who are innovative, passionate, accountable, and those who are willing to work as a team player to contribute to the achievement of the Houston Texans' goal of becoming the most respected and most valuable professional sports franchise in the world. This internship provides chosen future sports professionals the opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience in the professional sports industry through exposure throughout the Houston Texans organization. The chosen future sports professional will make meaningful contributions to Houston Texans business and/or football operations through in-depth, meaningful curriculum and experiences. The Event Experience Yearly Intern will assist with the development, coordination, and execution of opportunities to create memorable Houston Texans fan experiences through gameday and events.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software.
  • Strong organization and time management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks with multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Effective verbal, written and interpersonal communications.
  • Ability to maintain confidential and/or proprietary information.
  • Display strong interpersonal skills and the ability to create and maintain solid working relationships.
  • High School Diploma required.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year accredited college or university preferred.
  • Previous related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with large-scale events such as Training Camp, Draft Party, and other events as needed.
  • Assist with Partnerships Events such as Partner Field Days, Partner Summit, and other events as needed.
  • Assist with Marketing Department Events, including but not limited to Fan Development, Game Presentation, Multicultural, and others as assigned.
  • Assist with Community Development, Community Relations, and Youth Football events as needed.
  • Assist with Houston Texans Foundation events such as Charity Golf Classic, Season Premiere and Taste of the Texans.
  • Assist with events as assigned for all departments within the organization, including but not limited to; Ticketing, LUXE, Club, Human Resources, Business Operations, and others.
  • Assist with Gameday activations, including Bud Light Plaza and BULLevard.
  • Oversee part-time staff for gameday preparation and activation.
  • Assist with LSSE Gameday and events as needed.
  • Assist with leading Training Camp and Bowl Week interns.
  • Support the storage, inventory, and maintenance of equipment, signage, inflatables, props, giveaways, and department storage areas.
  • Oversee part-time staff for event preparation and activation.
  • Perform other duties as assigned from time to time by other departmental staff members.
