This role involves managing all aspects of event execution, from initial planning and day-to-day coordination to exit strategies. The manager acts as a meeting planning advocate and liaison to all operational departments, ensuring the on-site delivery of hotel products and services aligns with conference group plans for a positive meeting experience. Responsibilities include utilizing software for generating necessary program documents like pass-on reports, Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), post-convention reports, and change logs. The manager advises clients on event status, coordinates changes, and maintains program knowledge by attending planning meetings, conference calls, and reviewing group resumes and BEOs. They partner with the Conference planning team to identify and resolve issues, attend various meetings (planning visits, welcome receptions, tie-down meetings, internal security, parking, or production meetings), and proactively resolve potential meeting or room set issues. The position also requires verifying room requirements such as lighting, temperature, AV equipment, and room setup meet client expectations. Additionally, the role focuses on delivering exceptional customer service, coordinating event details with clients and property operations, responding to guest problems and complaints, and continuously improving service based on feedback.
