About The Position
Join our network of independent alteration professionals specializing in evening and cocktail wear. You will be responsible for altering evening gowns, cocktail dresses, and gala/black-tie dresses, which includes tasks like hemming, adjusting bodices/waists, straps, cups, and zippers. The role involves working with structured formal dresses that may have multiple layers, lace, beading, sequins, and linings. You will conduct fittings, take precise measurements, and clearly communicate timelines to clients. Delivering high-quality finishing and maintaining an organized workspace suitable for fittings are also key aspects of the position. Additionally, there may be requests for wedding dresses, prom dresses, bridesmaid dresses, suits, and other formalwear.
Requirements
- Experience with women's formalwear and/or evening wear alterations
- Strong garment construction knowledge + precision measuring
- Machine + hand sewing proficiency
- Professional communication and customer service
