About The Position
This role invites independent alteration professionals specializing in evening and cocktail wear to join a network. The position primarily involves altering evening gowns, cocktail dresses, and gala/black-tie dresses, including tasks such as hemming, bodice/waist adjustments, strap alterations, cup insertions, and zipper repairs. Professionals will work with structured formal dresses that may feature multiple layers, lace, beading, sequins, and linings. Key responsibilities also include conducting fittings, taking precise measurements, clearly communicating timelines to clients, and ensuring high-quality finishing. Maintaining an organized workspace suitable for client fittings is essential. The platform also provides requests for alterations on other formalwear, such as wedding dresses, prom dresses, bridesmaid dresses, and suits.
Requirements
- Experience with women's formalwear and/or evening wear alterations
- Strong garment construction knowledge + precision measuring
- Machine + hand sewing proficiency
- Professional communication and customer service
