About The Position

The Custodian position is highly valuable and unique in the school and essential to ongoing operations. The position is part of a small team that works evenings to keep our school healthy, clean, and safe. Custodians must have interpersonal skills that allow them to work positively with supervisors, staff members, students, and school community members.

Requirements

• High School Diploma
• Flexible and supportive work philosophy
• Willingness to take direction
• Must pass a CBI and FBI background check

Nice To Haves

• Commercial school custodial experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Complete a daily task sheet
• Clean and sanitize bathrooms
• Clean floors and use all necessary equipment to clean floors
• Empty Trash
• Maintain exterior as needed
• Clean and polish furniture and fixtures
• Clean windows
• Assist in deep cleaning as scheduled
• Assist in summer facilities projects such as floor waxing and carpet shampooing
• Open building to facilities renters and monitor renters as needed
• Other duties as assigned
