Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED and either library or library-equivalent experience or Library/Information Science coursework.
  • Demonstrated exemplary work record.
  • Evidence of commitment to providing excellent customer service.
  • Professional demeanor.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Experience working in libraries.

Responsibilities

  • Assist patrons at the library's Circulation Desk and respond to requests made via phone and email.
  • Check materials in and out using the integrated online library system and update patron and bibliographic records.
  • Assist with shelving and loose-leaf filing.
  • Assist with providing basic computer and technical support services for law students.
  • Refill printer paper as needed.
  • Communicate with library's Tech Desk.
  • Open and close the library as required.
  • Monitor facilities and securities issues.
  • Participate in special projects.
  • Other related responsibilities and functions as assigned.
