About The Position

The Evaporator Operator is responsible for processing trap and wastewater product in an effort to reclaim quality product. 2nd Shift Essential Duties/Responsibilities Nothing in this job description restricts management's right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED.

Nice To Haves

• Minimum one (1) year prior experience in a rendering facility or production environment preferred.
• Good mechanical aptitude & equipment troubleshooting; skilled in general mechanics and safe operation of equipment.
• Good communication skills both oral and written.
• Highly organized.
• Ability to work nights and/or weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for communicating with the cooker operator and foreman to produce quality product through the evaporator.
• Monitor equipment at start by checking raw material tanks to know percentage of grease to water; make sure system is primed with good grease.
• Logs hourly readings; makes adjustments as necessary to equipment.
• Responsible for shut down of equipment in correct sequence by following proper procedures
• Assures equipment and work area is clean after each shift.
• Maintains safety as top priority in accordance with all company safety rules and regulations.
