About The Position

The Happier Life Project is recruiting an Evaluation & Storytelling Intern for its Elevate Youth California program. This paid, part-time internship is designed for students interested in research, program evaluation, storytelling, and community impact measurement. POSITION OVERVIEW The Evaluation & Storytelling Intern helps measure and communicate the impact of youth-led programming by collecting feedback, organizing program data, and translating outcomes into accessible stories and reports. Interns in this role support surveys, listening sessions, and feedback collection efforts while learning how evaluation supports program improvement and accountability. They also help transform data and youth experiences into stories that highlight program impact and inform community decision-making. This role is ideal for youth interested in research, policy, communications, or nonprofit program evaluation.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the development and administration of surveys and feedback tools
  • Support collection of program data, participant feedback, and evaluation metrics
  • Organize and enter data for program reports and internal learning processes
  • Assist with summarizing evaluation findings into reports, presentations, or visual summaries
  • Collect qualitative feedback, testimonials, and youth stories with appropriate consent
  • Support preparation of youth impact reports and storytelling materials
  • Assist with listening sessions and community feedback events
  • Support evaluation activities connected to grant reporting and program improvement
  • Collaborate with interns and staff to translate findings into accessible program insights
