About The Position

The Brook – KMI is a 98-bed hospital offering a full continuum of inpatient, extended care, residential, partial hospitalization and outpatient services for adolescents, adults and seniors. Our specialized treatment services are provided by a multidisciplinary team of highly trained psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, addiction counselors, nurses, pastoral counselors and activity therapists. The Brook Hospitals prides itself upon the fact that our patients are referred directly to us by local professionals and organizations: physicians, psychologists, social workers, employee assistance professionals, community mental health centers, hospitals, schools, courts, social service agencies and managed care organizations. These direct referrals and our high patient and family satisfaction rates are a reflection of our effectiveness in treating mental illness and addictions. Evaluation & Referral /Intake Coordinator Answer all incoming intake calls and provide appropriate resolution. Conducts initial evaluations to determine an appropriate treatment level of care. Responsible for completing admission paperwork, including admission data entry. This position requires a person to work with minimal supervision. This position will work with all hospital units, business office, medical staff, medical records, utilization review, marketing, nursing, and data processing.

Requirements

  • Education – A Master's Degree from an accredited school in the Behavioral Sciences is required for this position
  • Those with an MSW or MSSW must have their CSW in order to apply for this position.
  • Years of experience needed –Previous experience with direct patient care in a behavioral health setting is strongly preferred.
  • Certifications – Must maintain current CPR certification.
  • Computer skills – Ability to: gain training through web-based programs; participate in employee surveys; enroll in company benefits.
  • Communication – Must possess excellent verbal skills in communicating with patients, coworkers and visitors.
  • Teamwork – Must be able to actively participate in a treatment team environment.
  • Service Excellence – Consistently demonstrates all Service Excellence Standards.
