In this role, you’ll serve as the Ethics Intake Analyst (Investigator – Principal Administrative Analyst) , combining technical expertise and leadership to support the Ethics Investigation function . You’ll participat e in investigations alongside senior staff ; research emerging trends in government laws to ensure the ethics initiatives remain proactive and effective ; and prepar e statistical and narrative reports that demonstrate the progress of Ethics Office initiatives . This is an opportunity to safeguard due process, protect confidentiality, and play a key role in promoting integrity and accountability across the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a related field and six years of relevant experience
  • Relevant Experience is defined as: I ntake and investigation experience in a government/ public sector Ethics Department.
  • Valid California Class C Driver’s License or equivalent ( at time of application) that allows you to drive during your employment.

Nice To Haves

  • Formally trained at a government academy or government training program in conducting interviews, obtaining evidence, and investigative procedures

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Assistant Ethics Officer, Deputy Ethics Officer, and staff to participate in investigations of alleged misconduct and ethics policy violations
  • E valuate existing ethics policies and initiatives to make recommendations that strengthen oversight and effectiveness
  • Research trends in government laws, internal policies, and professional ethics and oversight practices
  • Prepare statistical and narrative reports to support government reporting requirements and monitor the progress of Ethics Office initiatives
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret data related to employment and ethics-related activities
  • Assess key procedural factors, including due process protections, confidentiality of information, and protection of sources
