About The Position

The teacher is responsible for supporting students with reading and language development and the essential knowledge and skills appropriate for the level of the students within the content areas.

Requirements

• Valid Texas teaching certificate for subject/level assigned
• Bachelor's Degree
• Has experience scaffolding
• Has experience with small group instruction
• Has experience with teaching ELs
• Irving certified teacher with a minimum of 3 years of experience
• Understands and uses sheltered instruction in lesson design and delivery
• Has experience working with students in assigned grade level

Responsibilities

• prepare and follow with fidelity the curriculum provided and presented during training during the summer program
• work closely with the Summer Program Facilitator, Coordinator, other teachers, and students
• All other duties as assigned by the facilitator
