About The Position

This office-based role supports the Chief Estimator in preparing detailed estimates for structural steel components, including computer-aided and manual take-offs, labor standardization, and developing supporting documentation for complete project estimates. This role demands precision, a strong understanding of steel construction processes, and excellent organizational skills to support the preparation of comprehensive estimates.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in the structural steel industry in a similar role.
• Understanding of steel fabrication and erection processes.
• Construction experience.

Nice To Haves

• Experience reviewing contract drawings, specifications, and related documents.
• Proficiency in Bluebeam, Outlook, and Microsoft Office.
• A degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform take-offs for structural steel components and details.
• Review vendor and sub-tier quotes to ensure compliance with contract documents.
• Produce estimate summaries, identifying scope requirements, including buy-out items.
• Assist in training Estimators in Training.
