Cedar Park Group is hiring an experienced Estimator / Project Coordinator to produce accurate bids by performing takeoffs, building scopes, and securing subcontractor/vendor pricing using tools like PlanSwift and RSMeans. Requirements
- 5+ years construction estimating (or similar)
- Strong plan/spec reading + bid document review
- Working knowledge of CSI Divisions
- Ability to develop scopes, perform takeoffs, and build estimate sheets (labor/material/equipment)
- Experience with estimating software (PlanSwift) and pricing data (RSMeans)
- Strong communication, negotiation, and organization
Nice To Haves
- Design-Build and Design-Bid-Build estimating knowledge
- BA/BS in engineering, construction science, or related
Responsibilities
- Review bid docs and requirements
- Complete takeoffs by division and organize per bid schedule
- Develop scopes; source and obtain vendor/sub quotes
- Research pricing, labor, production rates
- Build and maintain estimate documentation in software
- Review quotes, support buyout after award
- Help with planning input (schedule/manpower) and material procurement
- Maintain strong vendor/sub relationships
