Estimator

Toyota Industries CorporationIndianapolis, IN
Onsite

About The Position

The Estimator is an integral role in the National Accounts team that collects and analyzes data in order to estimate the time, materials, and labor required to plan and execute material handling projects that range in technology and automation, including robotics, AS/RS, AGV's, high speed sortation, vertical lifts, light directed picking, pick modules, etc. The responsibility of this position commences with the request for proposal (RFP) from potential customers or consultants (internal or external) and concludes with the final version of the sales proposal submission. The Estimator during the sales cycle will interface directly with internal national account managers, project engineers, controls engineers, and software logistic consultants as well as vendors to establish the proposal and bid while comparing to past performance. The role may expand into developing and/or validating design concepts as the responsibilities of the team expand. The Estimating team success is substantiated by a reduction in overall project cost variance as well as a reduction in cycle time to deliver a sales proposal. This position will report directly to the Estimating Manager.
