Summary: The Estimator performs the estimation functions for Sentry products, ensuring accurate and timely drawings, specifications, and cost estimates for internal and external customers. Utilizes software and other tools to produce detailed project deliverables that support sales, manufacturing, and installation operations.

Requirements

  • Minimum Required: Associate degree in a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Prior experience in computer-aided drafting and detailing.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred: Vocational or technical degree in construction technology, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of construction methods and materials, with experience in building systems or pre-engineered metal buildings.
  • One to five years of related experience, including machine troubleshooting or equivalent estimating experience.

Responsibilities

  • Interpret construction drawings, specifications, and verbal instructions to produce accurate designs and estimates.
  • Develop and maintain detailed cut lists, bills of materials, construction details, and project drawings.
  • Provide sales teams with precise cost estimates and supporting documentation to fulfill customer requests.
  • Ensure all project deliverables meet established accuracy, quality, and timeliness standards.
  • Learn and apply required software systems to complete estimating tasks.
  • Enter orders for projects into ERP system.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal departments and external customers while upholding company values and professionalism.
  • Prepare and deliver project updates, progress reports, and analysis as requested
  • Performs other duties and activities related to the department as necessary to support overall operations and responsibilities, even if not specifically listed above.
