About The Position

Summary/Objective: The Estimator position compiles and maintains information to expedite movement of material and parts between production areas by performing the following duties. Prepares work to be estimated by gathering proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents. 2. Computes costs by analyzing labor, material, and time requirements. 3. Resolves discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information. 4. Prepares special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends. 5. Maintains cost data base by entering and backing up data. 6. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax  machines. Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bending or standing on a stool as necessary. While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. No travel expected for this position.
