For additional information, please visit www.NRPGroup.com. The Estimator organizes estimating activities of specific projects as they relate to estimating and preconstruction activities. This candidate MUST HAVE MULTI-FAMILY EXPERIENCE. The Estimator prepares accurate and well-crafted bids/proposals that result in awarded contracts that are profitable and maintain the quality expected from the NRP Group. The Estimator is also a key person in developing and nurturing relationships with our vendors and clients. The Estimator works under very tight time frames and is responsible for handling multiple bids/proposals and responsibilities simultaneously.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree (Engineering or Construction Management a plus) or equivalent work experience
1-5 years of relevant experience estimating construction projects; multi-family experience preferred.
Familiarity with conceptual estimating, writing detailed scopes of work and reading blueprints.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel for tracking construction costing.
Driver’s License Required: Yes

Nice To Haves

Experience with On-Screen Takeoff and Sage estimating software programs a plus.

Responsibilities

Schedule Create a job specific preconstruction schedule.
Set-up and attend pre-bid walk-throughs.
Quality Review and analyze drawings, specifications, proposals and other documents during the various stages of design.
Budget Develop invitation to bid.
Review and analyze subcontractor proposals.
Create overall project bid summary.
Review bid summary with director of preconstruction.
Management Create the project general conditions.
Solicit vendors and subcontractors for a project and ensure good bid coverage.
Create scopes of work for all subcontractors.
