Requirements

4-year Construction Management/Engineering degree, or equivalent combination of technical training and or experience.
2-5 years of experience in the field.
Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
Exceptional interpersonal, problem solving, and technical skills.
Strategic thinking skills.
Excellent customer service skills.

Nice To Haves

Experience with HCSS software.
Experience with Viewpoint software.
Experience with P-6 software.
Experience with Trimble Business Center software.
Experience with Agtek software.

Responsibilities

Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, owners, and agency representatives.
Successfully prepare bids, negotiate contracts, and win large commercial excavation projects.
Effectively oversee writing of proposals, bidding correspondence, budgets, project resource needs.
Maintain files of working documents as back-up for estimate figures, including current information on prices from suppliers through direct contact, sales brochures, price list, etc.
Prepare detailed estimates by calculating complete scope of work and materials.
Review design options and recommend best solution based on cost, engineering, quality, or availability of materials.
