Reporting to the Director of Estimating, you’ll be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, reviewing project details, and helping develop proposals from initial concepts to final bids.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field
3 years relevant Commercial construction experience
2+ years of Commercial estimating experience
Ability to work at our headquarters location in Jacksonville, FL - this is not a remote position
Working knowledge of construction methods, systems, and installations
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
Highly motivated with strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

Review bid documents, identify key bid items, and share relevant information with vendors and subcontractors.
Conduct site visits to evaluate special conditions and prepare necessary estimates for utilities, site access, and other requirements.
Compile data for accurate cost estimates, including material and labor costs.
Communicate with architects and clients to clarify project needs and handle addendums.
Track subcontractor engagement, manage bid documents, and ensure the bid room is up to date.
Prepare project scope sheets and support the team in creating accurate proposals.
Participate in project hand-off meetings with project managers and site supervisors.
