General Purpose Prepares time, cost, and labor estimates for sign projects by analyzing specifications, proposals, and documentation. Supports planning, scheduling, and budgeting through detailed estimating practices. A Day in the Life As an Estimator, you’ll spend most of your day reviewing specifications, design prints, and project data from the sales and design teams. You’ll work closely with engineers, project managers, and vendors to gather necessary inputs for developing accurate estimates. Using software tools and historical data, you'll prepare detailed cost breakdowns to support planning, pricing, and proposals. You’ll also participate in project meetings to ensure alignment and assist in refining estimating processes for future improvement.

Requirements

• Degree or Certificate from an educational center in a related discipline preferred; equivalent experience accepted.
• Minimum 6 months of experience estimating sign projects preferred or in a related field.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints, technical drawings, and material specifications.
• Basic understanding of engineering processes, prints, call-outs, and terminology.
• Strong mathematical, analytical, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, ERP systems, and estimating/project management software.
• Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders.

Nice To Haves

• Fabrication or Installation experience in the sign industry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review project data to determine material and labor requirements and prepare itemized cost estimates.
• Review blueprints, product specifications, and proposals to prepare detailed estimates.
• Compute cost factors for management planning and scheduling.
• Consult with vendors and internal teams to clarify and resolve estimating issues.
• Identify cost trends and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
• Support the estimating department in meetings, schedule coordination, and other assigned duties.
