WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS ROLE: Reviews customer specifications to determine job scope. Assesses cost estimates for materials, equipment, subcontracted work, labor, etc. to assist with bidding or pricing a project. Provides technical expertise to sales department. Initiates vendor quotes and pricing for electrical components. Briefs Electrical Designer on job scope when turned into an order. Determines whether any additional resources or equipment will be needed to complete scope. Ensuring timely completion of estimating & proposal milestones. Utilizes blueprints and specifications and knowledge of the construction industry to analyze project needs and compile cost estimates. Reviews all contract documents to become familiar with project requirements and obligations under the contract and applies to pricing (schedule, specifications, drawings, safety manual, etc.). Submits requests (RFIs) for estimating questions by deadline. Reviews purchase orders, subcontracts and contracts for accuracy. Estimates change order costs for Project Manager to prepare and submit the request to the customer. YOU HAVE: Associate’s degree or technical certificate in engineering or electrical related discipline or equivalent experience preferred. 2+ years of experience in estimating electrical/construction projects preferred. Experience using Salesforce preferred. Strong problem-solving ability including identifying alternative solutions in a collaborative manner. Self-motivated with ability to manage own workload and coordinate estimating project timelines. Ability to read and interpret operational and technical documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Strong verbal and written communication skills including ability to write reports. Ability to travel for work up to 5% of time. Employee pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance. Where federal, state, or local minimum wage requirements exist, employee pay will comply. Compensation Range: $62,900.00 - $116,900.00 Depending on the position offered, employee may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as annual incentives.
