About The Position

This Entry level position is responsible for the overall direction, completion, and financial outcome of constructionprojects.

  • Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or equivalent experience
  • Strong oral/written communication and organizational skills
  • At least 5 years’ experience in heavy/highway construction/ Asphalt, concrete rehabilitation of commercial projects.
  • Ability to use Microsoft software
  • Must have valid driver’s license
  • Pass background/Drug screening
  • Must be willing to travel
  • Ability to read and understand plans and specifications
  • Knowledge of construction paving, underground, concrete and grading practices.
  • Maintain ability to work in high production environment.
  • Demonstrated decision-making skills.
  • Excellent leadership skills.
  • Accuracy at all times.
  • Current North Carolina Driver s License required.
  • Ability to obtain industry specific certifications.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates plans and supervises field staff, including subcontractors.
  • Coordinates and supervises contractor’s quality control.
  • Responsible for profit/loss and timely completion of project.
  • Responsible for project safety.
  • Responsible for accurate cost reporting.
  • Develops and trains employees for further advancement.
  • Develops project schedule and continually reviews and maintains throughout the project duration.
  • Initiates change order pricing.
  • Ensures all field personnel meet budgetary requirements and project goals.
  • Coordinates resources with other projects or Construction Manager for overall company scheduling.
  • Maintains professional relationship with owner, Engineer and other members of the contract team
  • Miscellaneous administrative duties such as filing, scanning, copying and other office errands as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned
