Estimator/Project Coordinator-Next Door Company-Remote US Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 7:30 am-4 pm with a 30-minute lunch break Candidate will work in the Time Zone that they reside in. Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States. Job Summary: The estimator position processes customer price estimates, submittals, and order coordination requests to meet customer and company commitments and strives to continually improve the level of customer satisfaction through timely and efficient processing of all estimating service offerings. Serve as the primary liaison between engineering, sales and customer estimators / project managers.

Requirements

  • 4+ years related industry/service experience and/or training preferred
  • HS Diploma or GED required
  • Associates degree preferred or equivalent years of industry experience
  • Working knowledge of PC based software applications (Microsoft Office – Outlook, Word, Excel) & basic web applications.
  • Advanced knowledge of complex product and features for multiple brands and product categories
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
  • Ability to analyze problems, consider alternative solutions and make decisions quickly
  • Ability to work in a cross functional, virtually managed, collaborative team setting.
  • Proficient at reading job specifications and hardware schedules.
  • Ability to apply knowledge of internal processes to meet more complex requests.

Responsibilities

  • Receive and process incoming customer estimating requests across multiple brands in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Complete pricing estimates, order coordination, and conversions for hollow metal customers
  • Review, verify and make corrections as necessary to ensure accurate information and order specifications.
  • Understand and manage complex customer requirements with the ability to resolve product application issues on estimating requests.
  • Communicate with customers to resolve unclear estimating request issues, order conflicts, and shipping delays.
  • Manage estimating requests utilizing business tools, processes, and procedures.
  • Work with internal departments to facilitate accurate account handling and resolve customer issues.
  • Meet all service level agreements as set by management.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional groups to identify and drive continuous improvement opportunities within the estimating services offering.
  • Work with Order Management team on productivity projects.
  • Help drive continuous improvement in the processing of estimates and submittals and enhancing the customer experience.
  • Additional duties as assigned by manager.
